Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center Looking for a team building opportunity for your employees that also directly impacts the community? Help fight the hunger which exists in our own backyard while working together as a team and "Sponsor the Day!" at The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center. The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center is a non-profit organization serving not only a noontime meal to as many as 300 men, women, and children 365 days a year but through their Outreach Center they help the more vulnerable members of our community to empower themselves and realize their full potential by offering the following:
Your tax-deductible sponsorship-fee of $1,500 in the summer and $2,000 in the winter will not only provide all the food served that day to our 150 to 300 homeless, working poor and elderly guests, as well as cover the overhead expenses associated with The Soup Kitchen (rental of dining room, utilities, paper goods, trash removal, staff and the like) but will also entitle your company to a sponsorship listing in our newsletter which is mailed to 2,500 residents and businesses in NJ. In 2008 alone, the Community Soup Kitchen served 53,278 meals and through our Outreach Center we provided over 2,800 referrals for additional services to adults and children in need. Please join us and work together to fight hunger and poverty in our community while offering your employees an opportunity to share an experience as a team unlike any other! "The work you do there, and the service you provide is amazing. We were all very impressed with the quality of the operation. This was not your typical corporate team building exercise of pyramid building or obstacle courses, yet we all agreed in our discussion afterwards that the shared experience was humbling, motivating, emotional, eye-opening, and provided great insight into leading a team and running a lean operation. In other words, everything you could hope for in a team building exercise! So thank you for helping to make it such a great experience for us."
